Combine the ancient arts of both Macrame and Weaving, exploring knots and techniques to create your own beautiful handmade art for your home.

Each attendee will be provided with everything needed to make this stunning piece; the support to learn and master 3 of the core macrame knots as well as 3 beginner's weaving techniques through a series of guided steps, a gorgeous range of high quality fibres such as recycled cotton cord, sari silk ribbon, hand felted art yarns and merino roving to choose from on the day, a take-home knot guide, as well as light refreshments.

Learning to Play Music By Ear with Darren Braund

This interactive workshop will provide practical strategies and skills to help identify the chords of popular music just by listening to a song. A very basic music knowledge will help but not essential for this workshop.

Darren is a multi-instrumentalist with 30 years of experience who has discovered and developed methods to help both experienced and beginner musicians play music by ear.

Darren will be using piano and guitar to demonstrate, but it relates to any instrument. You can bring your own instrument along, although it is not essential.

Salt Lakes Experience Bus Tour and Lunch with Nourished by Jo

The two hour journey begins at the Weaner’s Flat Progress Hall Yorketown, incorporating the impressive lakes, areas and views along the trail - bring your cameras! Upon return, travellers will have the opportunity to explore and enjoy GROUNDED Festival’s impressive sculpture exhibition.

Following the viewing, guests will be treated to a specially themed lunch and welcome graze in the Town Hall Supper Room, hosted by local chef Jo Minks, complete with displays, local art and good company!
